Five ways I made my Dubai haus a home

Five ways I made my Dubai haus a home

haus & haus Managing Director Luke Remington found his perfect home in Dubai. Read his top five inspirations for life in a city like no other.

My Business

I’ve worked in the property business for over fifteen years and love it as much now as I did at the start. In Dubai, I’ve found trusted business partners who share my appetite for success in a dynamic market. We’ve built an expert and honest team to be proud of through hands on leadership. We call it the 'haus' way.

Invariably, clients tell us they’re buying a villa in one of Dubai’s master-planned communities because of the fantastic lifestyle. I was that buyer once, so I know exactly what they mean. My home is Arabian Ranches, an established community offering an unparalleled quality of life. Not to mention a range of flawlessly designed Emaar villas.

My Family

With their community vibe, properties for sale in The Lakes and Meadows neighbourhoods — to name but two — are a big draw for family buyers. World-class schools, like Dubai International Academy in Emirates Hills, provide outstanding education and extracurricular activities. Don’t be surprised if your child’s tennis coach is a former grand slam contender either. Some of the world’s top athletes live and work here. Dubai affords endless opportunities for families like mine. Whether we’re relaxing at our Jumeirah Palm beach club, or buying organic produce at our favourite farmshop there’s nowhere better to live.

Finding your perfect home in Dubai can be something of an adventure. Our team of Dubai real estate brokers understand this better than anyone, using an award-winning combination of experience, local knowledge and empathy to find the right fit.

My Brunch

A Dubai apartment for sale in Downtown can be one buyer’s dream; for another, it could be an off plan villa in Dubai Hills. But while property tastes vary, just about everyone in Dubai is united in their love of Friday Brunch. My first experience of Dubai brunch was at the Four Seasons. I still go back with friends to Coya, its Peruvian restaurant, for Huevos Rancheros and a Pisco Sour. Some Latin American luxe is an excellent antidote to a busy week.

My Fitness

I indulge my passion for distance running most mornings at 3am to beat the heat! The beachside Umm Suqeim - Jumeirah route is a fast and flat 25k, where I also get to monitor building progress at the new Jumeirah developments.

The UAE is heaven for fitness fanatics; if you rent an apartment in Dubai, expect an on-site gym and pool. You’ll also find subsidised public pools and over 200 km of cycle track across the city. From desert endurance to extreme-water sports, it’s all about outdoors life, making friends — and friendly competition.
