Conor, you started your career in the motor industry – becoming a successful senior sales brand consultant. From that experience what do you think benefits you today in Dubai’s real estate market?
“Yes it was a fantastic starting point. I think my attitude with my outgoing personality helps no matter what industry you are in. I learned the art of negotiation and communication; but what I believe makes you a success is caring for the people that you cater for. Putting the client first has always been my main priority and this is what drives me.”
The options in the Dubai property market are very diverse offering various types of communities. What makes Jumeirah Park special?
“For myself I feel Dubai is one of the only cities where you can actually live in a secure gated community right in the heart of a city. For example: Tokyo, New York, Shanghai, all these are big cities although there is no community in the centre. Jumeirah Park being situated in the heart of Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Lakes Tower is what makes it special. Access in and out of one of the business capitals of the world.”

Conor, within 20 years you have become one of the youngest senior brokers at haus & haus. What is the secret to your success?
“Treat people how you would like to be treated; it is as simple as that. I also believe part of my success is my hunger to succeed and my ability to strategically communicate any negotiation in a clear and easy to understand manner. I am a very passionate, driven individual who delivers an excellent level of customer service.”
You are having experience with both types of properties – furnished and unfinished. Are there any specific trends you can observe?
“I think the furnished look is what is in at the moment. Dubai is a city where people come and go daily whether it is for business or leisure. I am starting to see more and more people save costs with purchasing or renting a property fully furnished; whether this is to save money or to save the time of importing their own items!”
What was your biggest challenge in the past 3 months and how did you solve it?
“I found myself in a position where no real estate broker would like to be. Stuck in a heated dialogue between a landlord and a tenant. Who does the broker favour? The landlord some would say because you could argue they may own more properties, or the tenant as they may be able to bring you new clients and they are usually the ones paying the fee. My experience brought both the landlord and tenant together to come to reasonable terms where both parties felt happy with the outcome. As I said before, putting each and every client is the first and foremost priority in my eyes.”
