Eat, drink and shop
There’s a good choice of restaurants in Jumeirah Park Pavilion, where visitors can try fancy cakes and coffee at French Bakery, grab something quick at Burger Fuel or Subway, enjoy casual dining at Chez Amy’s or try any of the other cafes and restaurants. The mall also houses a barber, nail salon, toy store, video gaming shop, a Geant supermarket and more. There are no retail or hospitality outlets in Jumeirah Islands itself other than the Islands club, which offers a choice of two bars as well as a restaurant with terrace serving an international menu. More shops and eateries are available nearby in Springs Town Centre, JLT or Meadow’s Town Centre.

Occupying the land between Jumeirah Lakes Towers and Emirates Living, this area is just a short drive to Al Khail Street and a shorter drive to Sheikh Zayed Road. Ibn Battuta shopping Mall is less than a 10-minute drive, with Dubai Marina, Media City and even Mall of the Emirates within easy reach by car or taxi.
Out and about
Weekend cyclists, joggers and walkers can often be seen enjoying the relative safety of the Islands’ quiet roads and pathways. Residents can use the Islands Club pool and facilities to exercise, or take the kids to the DBS campus at Jumeirah Park, which has facilities for sports such as 5-a-side football. Golfers have two internationally acclaimed courses within 10-15 minutes drive: Emirates Golf Club and Montgomery Dubai golf club. And to combat the summer heat, Fitness First offers gym and fitness classes at The Springs and The Meadows Town Centre venues. For the carless, the F41 bus runs to Ibn Battuta, or take the Metro from there or Nakheel Metro Stations.
Primary to secondary
Dubai British School (DBS) now has a campus in Jumeirah Park (DBS-JP) just a few minutes’ drive away from the Islands development, for years 1 to 9. There are nursery, primary and secondary schools in Emirates Living: the main DBS site near Springs 3, Emirates International School in Meadows 4 and Raffles International School Nursery in The Lakes.
